The Fox and Hounds, run by Peter Fenn, is a large Victorian building situated on the picturesque and unspoilt village green, with an outside area to relax on a balmy summer evening with the setting golden sun falling over the West Field.

 

As a contrast in the cooler winter evenings a real log fire greets drinkers and diners and adds to the relaxed atmosphere.

 

There is regular live music and a monthly quiz on the second Tuesday of the month.  Sky sports shows football, cricket and rugby along with any requested event.  There are a variety of pub games available and the pub enters teams in the local pool, darts and domino leagues.

 

Beers available are  Greene King Abbot, Guest Ales, Sharps Beers,  John Smiths, Carlsberg, Fosters, Becks Vier and Guinness.

 

 

FOOD

Home cooked food is served at lunch times and early evening

'Seniors Luncheon' is now served on Wednesday lunch times at the princely sum of £5 per head

Meat from the local abattoir and local organic vegetables compliment the menu

 

 

Children are welcome but customers must be aware that they are their responsibility and shouldn't inconvenience other drinkers. 

 

Ramblers very welcome.

 

A ramp has been positioned to assist disabled customers on entry to the pub.

 

Dogs are also welcome.
