Gary & Jeanette Pilcher are the tenants at the Hurdlemakers Arms.  It has a bar and a restaurant area and probably the biggest beer garden in Essex with a children's play area.

 

The beers sold here are Mighty Oak IPA, Greene King Abbot, regularly changing Guest Ale, Fosters, Stella and Guinness.

 

Traditionally home cooked food is served Monday to Friday 1200 until 1430, 1800 until 2130.  Saturdays 1200 through until 2130 and Sundays 1200 until 2000.  BBQ every Sunday, weather permitting.

 

They hold quiz nights 1st Monday of the month, HAGARDS meetings 3rd Mondays of the month and MG Cars meetings 3rd Wednesdays of the month.

 

They have regular live entertainment.  They also have darts teams.
