The Railway Tavern is situated right opposite the Chelmsford Railway Station and a mere 100 yards from the Bus Station on Duke Street. This makes it the ideal place to meet friends for lunch or a drink whilst waiting for a bus or train and in the evenings as a meeting place before going to clubs etc. The Railway is a pleasant pub to sit and chat to friends.
As well as the beers listed above they also offer a choice of two ciders as well as a variety of bottled beers, wines and spirits.
There is a secluded private garden at the rear of the pub in which you can enjoy a cigarette with a drink. There is a covered area for smoking for the all too common rainy days!
They are open Monday to Saturday between 11am and 12midnight and on Sundays between 12midday until 4.30pm and again at 7pm until 10.30pm.
